The subject of mobility has a long tradition in the "Fächerstadt" – with milestones such as the invention of the original bicycle and the development of the tram train system.
Innovative solutions are created in Karlsruhe. Traffic concepts of the future are already being tested today on the Test Area Autonomous Driving. The special thing about it: Individual traffic and public transport are being equally considered.

EVA-Shuttles im Testgebiet unterwegs

Autonome Minibusse fahren seit Februar im Karlsruher Stadtteil Weiherfeld-Dammerstock. Damit kommt das Projekt EVA-Shuttle vom Labor auf die Straße.

The test area provides data sets for use in research and education as well as for non-commercial use in an Open Access manner. They can be downloaded from the download section of the website.
